Guards at the Taj

October 9 - November 15, 2015 ONGOING EVENT

Geffen Theatre, 10886 Le Conte Avenue, Los Angeles, California

Website | Email | (310) 208-5454

Written by Rajiv Joseph

Directed by Giovanna Sardelli

Featuring Raffi Barsoumian and Ramiz Monsef

West Coast Premiere

“One of the most provocatively talented American playwrights.”- Los Angeles Times

“A real stage poet not afraid to debate the cosmos. His voice is a major one.”

- New York Magazine

Ambition, philosophy and absurdity spill-over in Rajiv Joseph’s violently beautiful new play about two lowly guards handed the grueling task of protecting the Taj Mahal. Wildly comic and astoundingly tragic, the journey of these two friends asks if perfection comes at too great a cost.

The Geffen Theatre has generously provided free tickets for various Big Sunday events. Most recently, Big Sunday volunteers took a group of vets to the see a play there.
